wave in 1826 by James Henderson, Old Pulteney is the beating heart of the hamlet of Wick renowned both for its whiskeys and for the quality of its excellent herring. It is no coincidence that in the 19th century itself, the Scottish town was famous for its gold, whiskey, and silver, herring.
A sweetly smoked single malt, it is almost a celebration of the Wick air, harassed by wind and smoke from the herring smokehouses. A peat whiskey with a real and strong character, very savory and marine. Complex and interesting, it knows how to surprise.
