Vibrations is extravecchia grappa aged in spruce barriques from Val di Fiemme. This is a special wood from the area that is called the "Forest of Violins" because the world's finest violins are made from its spruces. Stradivari already knew the qualities of these fine woods and employed them in the art of violin making, building instruments for the great violinists of his time such as Paganini and Mozart. It is the special resonance and vibration characteristics of the wood that give this extravecchia grappa its name.

Vibrazioni extravecchia grappa is made only from Teroldego grape skins, obtained by soft pressing and distilled immediately after racking. Distillation takes place slowly, using special discontinuous copper stills; the wooden barrels in which aging takes place are made exclusively for Villa de Varda, to ensure the highest quality in each bottle of our fine Trentino grappa. The wood from which they are made has special characteristics: in addition to the natural homogeneity of sound that makes it coveted by luthiers all over the world, it is extremely rich in aromatic qualities.

Accompanying the fir wood case that holds the 150 cl bottle is a CD recorded exclusively for Villa de Varda: an arrangement of Paganini's music by Salvatore Accadro, played on an original Stradivari violin.

GRAPE VARIETIES: 100% Teroldego grape skins from Trentino, soft-pressed and distilled immediately after racking

VISUAL EXAMINATION: deep amber, tending to golden yellow.

BOUQUET: complex, clean, broad, rich, velvety, of noble finesse, with wonderful olfactory concert of forest, walnut husk, toasted almond, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, amaretto, fresh pastry, enriched by floral notes of elderflower, wisteria, magnolia, together with fruity hints of plum, apricot, raspberry, maraschino cherry, blueberry and the very ripe red grape.

FLAVOUR: particularly soft, warm, long, pleasant, with great aromatic richness and persistence; with authoritative bouquet of fruity, floral and roasted notes with slight resin finish.
