Within the realm of gins from the New World, Principe de Los Apóstoles differs profoundly from the classic winter flavors of London Dry.
Characterized by a nuanced profile that is more tropical and indigenous, it is a gin that stands out for its authenticity and incorporates Argentine botanicals such as yerba mate, pink grapefruit, peppermint and eucalyptus. Distilled in 200-liter batches in a German copper still, Apostoles is made in a totally artisanal manner. Botanicals are macerated separately in a solution of grain alcohol. Fresh yerba mate leaves, eucalyptus and pink grapefruit undergo a 24-hour maceration. The same goes for juniper and coriander. Peppermint, on the other hand, is macerated for 2 hours. Only at this point are all the infusions combined to thus proceed to distillation. The result is then bottled and numbered according to the distillation batch.
