MEZCAL APRENDIZ ESPADIN JOVEN

From the encounter between the mysticism of mezcal and the art of living intensely; from this combination was born Aprendiz, a new project by the Pescador de Sueños family and the Santa Sabia distillery.

It is 2003 in San Juan del Río, Oaxaca; the Fisherman of Dreams has found an Espadín agave that grows in favorable conditions thanks to a particular microclimate and a singular ecosystem. Taking care of it are Isaia and her family, producers of mezcal for more than 3 generations, respecting the historical taste, the land and the culture; the production of Aprendiz involves cooking in conical stones and crushing the pine cones using the Tahona, i.e. the traditional horse-drawn millstone.

When the Fisherman hypothesizes the birth of the Aprendiz brand, he imagines a friendly mezcal, for those who wish to embark on the journey to discover artisanal agave distillates and the effect that each variety of agave triggers in our nervous system. For example, according to Pescatore's research, Agave Espadín would have effects on sociality, the Tepetztate variety would have healing properties; or even Tobala, responsible for the feeling of achievement, or Coyote, which would lead to introspection.

A Mezcal Jovèn from Agave Espadín, the variety to which the power of social aggregation is attributed. We are in San Juan del Rio, in the state of Oaxaca. When drunk straight it enhances the identifying character of mezcal, the smoky one but also soft and with a sophisticated attitude; also excellent in mixology, thanks to its balance and crystalline clarity.
