HANKEY BANNISTER WHISKEY

This whiskey is the result of the meeting of two businessmen, Beaumont Hankey and Hugh Bannister, who decided back in 1757 to create spirits capable of pandering to the rapidly changing tastes of the palates of the City of London. Immediately distinguished by the elegance and quality of its products, Hankey Bannister soon became the official purveyor to the royal house and London aristocracy.

Hankey Bannister is a rare and fine Scotch whisky that is still based on the ancient recipe of the two founding partners who chose the finest grains from the Lowlands and some whiskies from the Highlands and Speyside to create this refined and elegant Scotch Blended. A recipe that still involves carefully selecting all raw materials and handcrafting all stages of the production process.

The current blend, reminiscent of the original Hankey and Bannister blends, contains about 30 percent single malts from distilleries such as Balblair, anCnoc, Old Pulteney and Balmenach. All whiskies then rest in oak barrels for a minimum of three years in order to develop Hankey Bannister's unique style. Only at this point does the master blender identify the best blend following the ancient recipe from 1757.
