It is since 1710 that the Assier family, who moved from Montpellier to Martinique, has been producing agricultural rum of the highest quality. The entire production cycle takes place within the family estate, from the cultivation of sugar cane, Bleu quality and Violet quality, which takes place without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals, to distillation in copper stills that, through a slow process, produces a strongly aromatic spirit. Bete a Feu is made from sugar canes pressed only once so as to extract the purest juice, then distilled in a historic seven-plate copper column to 50.9 percent. Round and smooth, with a definite citrus kick.
