Passito Sagrantino Montefalco

CHARACTERISTICS

A meditation wine obtained by drying Sagrantino grapes on racks, it is characterised by a fine and elegant concentration of the variety's typical fragrances and aromas.

It is the traditional version of Montefalco Sagrantino, once vinified only as a sweet wine to be used at religious ceremonies, from which it probably takes its name.

On visual inspection, it fascinates with its ruby red colour of rich luminosity.

It is splendid in its aromas of blueberry and blackberry jam, with notes of bergamot well accompanied by hints of liquorice and delicate infusion of herbs. On the palate, it is full and harmonious, bubbling and rich in fruity flavours. Deliciously sweet, it is balanced by an intriguing tannic finish.
