First, original, foundational. Vermouth Rosso is the very nature of the aperitif, the product that shaped the habits of its maker. Originally, its color was amber, because browned sugar-also called "burnt"-was used and not caramel, a more aggressive dye added for a dark hue. Marolo, true to the original 1854 recipe, has rediscovered Vermouth Rosso in its essence: the burnt sugar does not alter the aromatic composition, which enhances the notes of orange peel, gentian and lemon balm from Piedmont. A must at any time of day: special on the rocks, it gives its best smooth, garnished with a slice of orange.
