Elderberry schnapps from maceration and distillation

In autumn along the Alpine arc, small, purple-black berries ripen in clusters on elderberry bushes. Almost unknown to most, this rare wild fruit is harvested and selected by hand by farmers to make a sumptuous schnapps with notes that are surprising in their completeness and harmonic variety.
