This fine Gravensteiner apple distillate has been aged for 17 years in selected oak barrels, and finished for two winters in our Alpine Rum R74 barrels to complement its unique aroma.
The nose is delicate and multifaceted, with rich notes of ripe apples intertwined with soft wood aromas and hints of the Caribbean. And it is on the palate that this Caldiff 80 is at its best with rich and varied fruit notes, hints of prunes and sultanas contrasted, always supported by the pulpy hints of fresh Gravensteiner apples from the family estate. The aftertaste is persistent as if to tell the story of the last 17 years with every sip.
Caldiff 80 Special Edition - on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Mr Andreas Roner, president and lover of Caldiff.
