The Toro distillery, in Tocco da Casauria, the extreme edge of the province of Pescara, has an ancient history, starting in 1817, when Beniamino Toro, a pharmacist and apothecary, created Centerba, an almost alchemical liqueur, a mountain panacea, appreciated by all as a pleasant medicine, strong and gentle at the same time. Then in the early 1970s, it was Roberto Toro and his son Enrico who, while keeping the same recipe, gave it a new interpretation, launching the distillery into modernity.
A secret recipe since 1817 following the recipe of Beniamino Toro, Centerba Toro is one of the legendary liqueurs of the Italian scene, always and forever produced in the small town of Tocco da Casauria, at the foot of the Gran Sasso. Remarkably tonic and digestive, it is a must have for Italian liquor lovers and also for bartenders, given its amazing ability to impart unique nuances to drinks.
