This recently acquired parcel is one of the symbols of Neive.

For those of us who have the concept of territorial narrative in our heads, it is wonderful to be able to reap the benefits and transform it, following the guidelines that have accompanied us over the last decade: those of recognisability and respect.

Putting the emphasis on the word identity, in fact, is the thing that exalts us most, and thanks to these 3,000 metres of land, the picture of the Barbaresco territory is more complete and clearer.

Gallina has a great expressive power and this motivation convinced us to market it at its first vinification.

The soils are marly-calcareous, with a rich presence of light-coloured sands, and the wine they give us is rich and flavoursome. The deep bouquet alternates between floral and fruity recognitions, with hints of underbrush to complete the aromatic picture.

In the mouth, it is winking and satisfying without bringing with it any sense of yielding: it is firm, chewy yet refined.

"Gallina, it is a unique place: resting at the foot of Neive, with the village overlooking it and the village cemetery in front of it. We only have a few rows of vines here and this allows us to focus our gaze on the details. The soil is rich, compared to the other plots we cultivate in Barbaresco, and this has led us to manage the organic substance in an original way. We have revised our positions: new green manure essences have found a place and agricultural practices have been outlined specifically for this vineyard. Gallina taught us not to impose a method on the vineyard, just because it had worked elsewhere, but stimulated our capacity for observation and analysis. "
