Deville's Champagne Rosé is a champagne with a remarkable personality, matured on the lees for 36 months. It exudes fruity notes, with cherry in the foreground, and aromas of bakery and citrus fruits. Freshness and fullness are not hidden in the mouth, showing an elegant, refined and romantic profile.

Maison Jean Paul Deville's Rosé Brut is a Champagne with personality and character, made from Pinot Noir and a small percentage of Chardonnay and matured on the lees for a minimum period of 36 months. It is a Champagne with a good structure, intense and elegant with a decidedly gastronomic vocation, ideal for enjoying at the table.

The Champagne Rosé Brut is born in the estate of Verzy of the small artisanal Maison of Jean Paul Deville, which is located south-east of Reims, in one of the historically most vocated areas of the region of the Montagne de Reims. The vines are cultivated in a splendidly exposed hilly area, with a prevalence of Pinot Noir grapes, the typical variety of the area. After harvesting, the grapes are subjected to a very soft pressing to extract only the free-run must. At the end of fermentation, which takes place separately for the various plots of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the base wines rest for a few months until the cuvée is created. After the different base wines have been tasted, the final blend is created and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle with a rest on the lees for at least 36 months before dégorgement.

Jean Paul Deville's Brut Rosé expresses all the artisanal savoir faire of a small Maison, which makes traditional Champagnes from the prized grapes that come from the small commune of Verzy, a land of great Pinot Noirs. In the glass it has a beautiful intense pink colour, with bright and brilliant reflections and a fine and subtle perlage. On the nose it expresses floral aromas, aromas of citrus fruits, small red berries, raspberries, cherries and wild strawberries. The taste is harmonious and well-structured, with crisp fruit and a finish of balanced freshness.

Colour Bright salmon pink

Bouquet Berries, especially cherry, notes of bakery and citrus fruits

The Maison Jean Paul Deville is a family-run business that produces high-quality artisanal Champagne. Created in 1968, it is the fruit of the experience of several generations of vignerons who have cultivated these lands with love and passion. During the 19th century, the Deville family, who had already owned vineyards in Verzy for five generations, limited themselves to cultivating the countryside and selling the grapes to the great Maisons of Reims. In 1966, Jean-Paul Deville decided to create a blend with wines from his own grapes for a small family production. Two years later he bought a wine press for his cellar, so that he could press and make wine himself, and also in 1968 the first bottles bearing the Maison Jean Paul Deville label saw the light of day.

This was just the beginning of a great adventure in the world of Champagne. In 1986, a Rosé version was born, and ten years later a Blanc de Blancs of great character and structure, son of a terroir traditionally dedicated to Pinot Noir. His daughter, Marie-Alice, joined the team a few years ago. After obtaining her national diploma in oenology in Reims, she works alongside her father in the creation of the cuvées. The Cuvée Quinte Essences was born from her talent and creativity, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Maison. A Champagne inspired by the oldest traditions of the region, with an unusual blend, which alongside Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay also includes the old Champagne varieties such as Petit-Meuslier and Arbanne.

The domaine Jean Paul Deville is located in the commune of Virzy, one of the 17 villages in the region classified as Grand Cru, due to the exceptional quality of its vineyards, which every year yield grapes of absolute excellence. It is about twenty kilometres south of the city of Reims, in an area of Champagne famous for producing excellent Pinot Noir. The vineyards are still managed according to ancient farming practices, with manual work and maniacal care.  The management is based on low yields, so as to always favour quality, and the harvest is carried out with a rigorous and careful selection of only the best bunches. All the cuvées are made with only the free-run must from very soft pressing. The long ageing on the lees gives intense, rich and elegant Champagnes, a typical expression of the Grand Cru of Verzy.
