Ròndena
An Italian saying goes that one swallow does not make a spring: but just by looking at that first, little black V in the sky, one begins to feel the light, crisp excitement of nature being reborn.
Swallows are hungry for travel, for places yet unknown, for lands to be discovered, but to rest and give birth to their young they take refuge under the roofs of houses, in the warmth, surrounded by the cheerful buzz of the families living there. The black-blue of their feathers gives its name to the Rondinella, one of the vines that make up Amarone della Valpolicella, a very fertile grape, resistant to heat and drought; to the rondinella, which when it arrives in flocks heralds spring, our Amarone Riserva is dedicated.
