Production Area: Mariano del Friuli - DOC Isonzo del Friuli
Soil: dry and warm, of medium texture: composed of the stones of the river Isonzo and noble clays.
Grape harvest: manual
Vinification: long maceration at controlled temperatures, with frequent pumping over to favour tannic and anthocyanic extraction from the skins.
Ageing: after racking, it remains for 12 months in French barriques.
Bottling: without filtration
Colour: bright and soft ruby red, with slightly garnet reflections
Scent: delicate and complex, reminiscent of raspberry, currant, juniper, walnut husk, undergrowth, light notes of cyclamen and vanilla.
Flavour: dry, soft, velvety and with good flavour. Balanced and tasty, persistent, with fruity hints and a pleasantly bitterish aftertaste.
