Bergamot is a unique fruit that grows exclusively on the sunny slopes of Calabria's Ionian coast and is well known for its qualities. In January, the fresh fruit is harvested, washed and peeled. The peel, rich in essential oils, is immersed in alcohol for maceration, the fruits instead immediately squeezed and the juice added to the basic alcoholic mass. Delicate processes, carried out with care and craftsmanship, give a totally natural liqueur. Liquore Bergamotto is an excellent end-of-meal digestive, but lends itself to any drinking occasion. Perfect chilled.
