Vodka Babicka Original Wormwood (70cl 40%) - crb

The term Babicka was used to refer to the wise Czech women who in the 16th century were known for their mystical powers and practices in the art of witchcraft. The Babicka freely used wormwood in their potions that were supposed to stimulate passion, sensuality and creativity. Currently, the magic of this potion lives again in Babicka Original Wormwood by reviving an ancient recipe from 1518 that represents one of the earliest vodka formulas dubbed "witch's brews." Master distillers spent years perfecting the centuries-old Czechoslovak babicka absinthe recipes, carefully controlling each of the six steps in the distillation process to ensure the quality and taste of the original absinthe vodka. The water used comes from two fresh, uncontaminated springs on the Olomouc plateau, deep underground, whose minerals give unique characteristics to this vodka. The grain comes from Moravia and is harvested and fermented before being distilled three times. The wormwood is macerated separately along with other herbs and spices, including fennel and aniseed. The wormwood extract, thujone, is added before undergoing a double distillation. The vodka is then combined with the herbal distillate before being distilled for the last time. Finally it is filtered through charcoal to ensure the renowned smooth consistency of Babicka Vodka.
