Caorunn, pronounced "ka-roon," is the Gaelic name for rowan berries, one of the five Celtic botanicals used to distinguish this gin. Using Scotland's unique resources, Caorunn gin is produced by the Balmenach Distillery located in the Scottish Highlands, in the heart of Cairgorm National Park. Among the first Scottish distilleries to be licensed to produce Whisky, it has now been synonymous with excellence and absolute quality for three centuries. By harnessing, in fact, purest, crystal-clear water and carefully selecting the best grains, the distillates are created in small batches, made exclusively by following artisanal production processes. The red asterisk represents the five Scottish terroir botanicals also indicated on the bottle cap: rowan berries, the typical Highland coul blush apple, heather, dandelion and myrtle.
Caorunn Gin uses pure grain spirit, clear and limpid Scottish water and all-natural ingredients. The slow distillation technique allows the botanicals to be deeply incorporated into the distilled spirit.
