TEQUILA OCHO BLANCO RED EDITION DIAS DE LOS MUERTOS 'CERRO GRANDE' 2020
Tequila Ocho was born from the meeting between Carlos Camarena, one of the most esteemed Maestros Tequiloros, whose family has been producing tequila since 1937, and Tomas Estes, bartender and founder of Cafè Pacifico and La Perla Bars, with a deep passion for tequila spirits. 'agave and Mexican culture.
Celebratory bottle for the traditional Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican festival of the dead, in which, it is said, the spirits of the deceased are reunited with their families. To honor them, altars are erected full of offerings, fruit, sweets and the famous calaveras, the skulls, often made of sugar. For the first time in red, a color very linked to the Dia de los Muertos, even in this special limited series release Ocho does not deny its immense quality. The spirit comes from agaves grown at 2290 meters above sea level on Cerro Grande, 27 km from Arandas, an area with unique soil, rich in clay and iron. The agaves were harvested approximately 7 years after planting, but only the truly ripe ones are chosen to produce a perfect tequila. Together almost spicy and citric, savory at times, it is the essential complement to best honor the Dia de los Muertos.
