Rest & Be Thankful are the words inscribed on the commemorative stone placed at the top of Glen Croe by the Scottish soldiers who built the old military road in 1753 which still divides the valley in two today. The route was so long and steep that it was traditional for travelers to rest at the top. 300 years later, Rest & Be Thankful whiskies, by bottling the very essence of their identity, want to make those who taste them discover the same feeling of happiness and satisfaction that those travellers, so tired but satisfied by the unique beauty of the Scottish landscape, felt. Rest & Be Thankful was born from the idea of aging whiskey in barrels supplied by Bruichladdich Distillery itself and other premium distilleries in the country. Rest & Be Thankful is the brand that brings together a multitude of single casks; a unique opportunity to enjoy Single Cask Islay Whiskeys from one of the most innovative companies on the island.
 
The Altt-a-Bhainne distillery is relatively young, founded in 1975 in Dufftown, Speyside, and will be unknown to most, not because it doesn't produce excellent Single Malts, but because its specialization is producing Single Malts intended for blends. Furthermore, it is often off the routes of whiskey tours, perhaps also due to its recent and unglamorous structure. But despite the image, Allt-a-Bhainne has unique and amazing Single Malts in its warehouses.
