anCnoc simply means hill in Gaelic, and it is no coincidence that every drop of these Scotch whiskies is meant to celebrate the rich and strong spirit of the Highlands. anCnoc are created at the Knocdu distillery, located in the picturesque village of Knock in Aberdeenshire, right on the North Sea. Production began in 1894 and has since been regarded as the perfect embodiment of the modern distillery. anCnoc and all its men are known as relentless and always in pursuit of perfection, using traditional production methods to achieve modern whiskies nonetheless.
A wonderful single malt Scotch whisky from the anCnoc range, distilled in 2009 and left to age in a combination of Spanish and American oak casks. It was left to mature until 2021, when it was bottled at 46% ABV. A brilliant example of a deliciously creamy and honeyed anCnoc.
