A Rhum with ancient roots produced today as in the past according to the recipes of authentic Caribbean tradition. Dillon is the Rhum that traces its origins back to 1779 when Arthur Dillon, one of the protagonists of the American War of Independence, made a stopover in Martinique. His relationship with Marie- Laure Girardin, a wealthy Creole heiress, led him to settle on the Caribbean island where, on the ruins of an old sugar refinery dating back to 1690, he set up his own distillery. Rhum Agricole Dillon comes from the fermentation and distillation of pure sugarcane juice that is still crushed by mills driven by a steam engine dating back to 1922. Martinique's best sugar cane is produced from plantations thanks to a particularly favorable geographic microclimate which has earned it the appellation "Grand Cru." Dillon White is a Rhum rooted in the land and produced with extreme rigor from sugar cane juice whose raw material comes from the best plantations in Martinique.
