The Severin Distillery, founded in 1928 by Henri Marsolle, is nestled in the greenery of Guadeloupe in one of the world's best areas for growing sugar cane, especially in terms of quality. Distillation takes place in columns called Creole, similar to those used in France for Armagnac. The nose strikes the typical notes of agricole rhums, with memories of brine and vesou, fresh sugarcane juice; the palate is fruity and oily, and the finish is long and complex. It comes out in liter bottles to be more usable for bartenders and enthusiasts.
