Plantation rums are a genuine invitation to travel. From Jamaica to Barbados via Panama, Trinidad, Guyana to the Fiji Islands. Each rum possesses distinctive local flavors that faithfully reflect the identity of each territory. Each country that distills rum has its own terroir with its own traditions, production techniques and identity. Alexandre Gabriel, Plantation's master blender, chooses only the best batches from each distillery in the Caribbean so that they respect the unique identity of each territory.
A great rum to celebrate 25 years of Caribbean Company! A dream, a journey around the world in search of the purest spirits, the most disturbing liqueurs, an adventure that never ends, discovering ever new horizons of taste and awareness. This celebratory bottle comes from the Clarendon-Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica. Rum distilled with a John Dore twist-necked still in 1996 and then aged, initially for more than 21 years in ex-bourbon barrels in the tropical climate of Jamaica, then for 2 years in France, at Château de Bombonnet, in ex-Cognac Ferrand barrels, it was finally aged for six months in small ex-Rye whiskey barrels from the New York Distilling Company. This final aging gave a certain complexity and gourmet tone to the powerful spirit of Long Pond. A tribute to all those who followed and made Caribbean Company great.
