Plantation O.F.T.D. is the result of an extraordinary team effort instigated by Alexander Gabriel. Plantation's Master Blender did nothing more than gather around him some of the world's top rum connoisseurs-Jeff "Beachbum" Berry, Smuggler's Cove, Paul McFadyen, Paul McGee, Scotty Schuder, and cocktails historian Dave Wondrich. After discussing and taking notes on what the six rum experts had suggested to him in order to create the ideal overproof rum that each bartender would want to work with, Alexandre Gabriel decided to create more cask samples for his friends to taste. Everyone unanimously agreed on the final version we know today as Plantation O.F.T.D. Overproof. Old Fashioned Traditional Dark Rum is a blend of rums from Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados; the three most distinctive rum styles in the Caribbean.
