Awamori Sakimoto Shuzo Yonaguny Ku-Su 3 YO ( 70cl 30%) - crb

The Sakimoto distillery is located on the island of Yonaguny, more than 2,000 km southwest of Tokyo and only 100 km from Taiwan; this area, in the past, was part of the Ruykyu Realm, which was a kind of link between the Japanese Empire and China. It is an extremely productive area, just think of the fact that although the island of Yonaguni has only 1,300 inhabitants, Sakimoto is one of only three distilleries in existence. Since 1927 it has been producing distillates of the highest quality, using traditional stills fired by live fire.

The Shuzo Yonaguny Ku-Su 3 YO, aged 3 years, is delicate and slightly fruity on the nose, with notes of dehydrated fruit; the palate is complex, with hints of pear and green apple, which continue through the complex but fresh finish.
