Calvados Charles De Granville Millèsime 1972 ( 70cl 40%) - crb

Legend has it that Charles, a young Breton orphan, was hired as a galley boy by a private shipowner during the reign of Louis XIV; he thus decided to bring aboard both the cider he produced and his distillate, which the crew adored in equal measure. So it was that, after years of service in the navy, Charles was awarded the title De Granville, and he devoted himself entirely to perfecting his distillates.

The 1972 vintage is an opulent and rich Calvados, though always "Gascon" in its being, approximating great grape distillates such as Armagnac. A drink of great elegance, which pairs well with unforgettable moments
