Legend has it that Charles, a young Breton orphan, was hired as a galley boy by a private shipowner during the reign of Louis XIV; he thus decided to bring aboard both the cider he produced and his distillate, which the crew adored in equal measure. So it was that, after years of service in the navy, Charles was awarded the title De Granville, and he devoted himself entirely to perfecting his distillates.
Distilled from apples from the family's own orchards, which have been used for centuries in the production of cider and calvados, this spirit undergoes aging around 6 years. Enjoyable as an after-meal or expertly blended.
