Since 1680, the Domaine de Lhéraud has stood in a small commune in Charente in the heart of Petite Champagne. Alexandre Lhéraud began cultivating land in the region, and in 1795 his son, Augustine, received nearly 25 hectares of land from Lord Bouteville. Like most small Cognac producers, the Lhéraud family sold their cognacs to the large Domaines, while retaining a portion that they let age in their private cellar called "Paradis." In 1882 Eugene built the first distillery on the farm, nestled in Grande Champagne, received as a dowry from his wife. A centuries-long history in which several generations have succeeded one another, carrying on the art of Cognac distillation and aging with grit, tenacity and passion, until reaching Guy Lhéraud, who since 1960 has continued to grow the prestige and fame of this Domaine: the latest generation heir to the secrets that have evolved through the years along with their precious eaux-de-vie, in a world where aging is a process to be continually perfected and maturity an extremely coveted treasure. All bottles are a pure expression of the terroir in which they are produced and of the Lhéraud family's craftsmanship. Oublie XO is aged for more than 20 years.
