  • Maison Ferrand is located in the "golden triangle" of the Grande Champagne region, in the Château de Bonbonnet, an 18th-century castle located in Ars, just 10 kilometers from the city center of Cognac.
  • The distillates produced by the Maison Ferrand come from the best raw materials and are obtained by following slow and meticulous processes, whereby distillation takes place in copper stills and aging is carried out in ancient oak barrels. Exceptional distillates, the pride of an entire territory, originated first and foremost from passion, dedication and love for one's work, see the light in this way.
  • Aged up to four and a half years, Maison Ferrand's Cognac 1840 is a clear tribute to the history of this great distillate. Inspired by the style in vogue in the late 1800s, it is a cognac that evokes the Golden Age of cocktails, when the recipes of Jerry Thomas, Harry Johnson, Leo Engel and William "The Only William" Schmidt contained cognac as the main ingredient. Even the Mint Julep, now associated with bourbon, was at least initially mixed with this elegant distillate. Conceived by Alexandre Gabriel with the help of cocktails historian David Wondrich, 1840 is a cognac young enough to be light and lively, but nonetheless deep, rich in flavor and with a significant alcohol content compared to modern Cognac VS.
