What better way to commemorate the Danish Frogman Corps than with a unique blend whose nearly two-century history has woven a strong and enduring bond with the Royal Danish Navy.
A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Frogman - Conventus Ranae is a rum hand-blended by our master distillers and aged in fine barrels, each with a unique story. The Frogman Corps was created in 1957, inspired by the British Special Boat Service (SBS), America's Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT and Navy SEALs) and the Norwegian Marine Hunters. Maritime operations are and always will be one of the core functions of the Frogman Corps.
Once discharged, corps members can join Conventus Ranae (from Latin, "gathering of frogs"), a formal Frogman Corps association aimed at strengthening ties between active and veteran members.
The collaboration established in recent years between A.H. Riise and Conventus Ranae has resulted in, among others, the launch of the famous H. Riise Danish Navy Frogman. In 2017, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Frogman Corps, the exceptional Royal Danish Navy Frogman 60 was created.
