A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra Very Rare is a masterpiece of excellent craftsmanship, the result of our expert master blender's skill. The spirit is matured in designer barrels superior in every way: the use of these ancient barrels demands a lifetime's knowledge in the art of blending. Every step of the process has been meticulously controlled, and nothing is left to chance: not the evocative finely faceted carafe, not the look of intense glow, and certainly not the satisfying taste experience at first sip. A rum of exceptional stature: once you taste it, you won't want to try anything else. 

Non plus ultra, a Latin locution meaning "no further," was the personal motto of Charles V, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and king of Spain. According to legend, the inscription was carved by Hercules on the Calpe and Abila Mountains, the so-called Pillars of Hercules, as a warning not to cross the boundary between the known and unknown worlds at the Strait of Gibraltar. Similarly, A.H. Riise Non Plus Ultra Very Rare stands at the border between known and unknown: only the best drops from aged rum barrels are used to create the final blend.
