The first, in particular, is an elegant grappa obtained exclusively from the distillation of marc from grapes used to produce Barolo wine. A fine distillate that matures for over 5 years in oak barrels and barriques. The second, on the other hand, is even an XO version, or 'extra old'. In this case, the distillate's maturation in wood is protracted for well over six years. An extremely long but necessary period to give the distillate time to soften and acquire complexity and smoothness.
