Ageing: part of the wine is aged in barriques and, after drawing, matures on the lees for 30 to 40 months. Double Erre Di stands for Delayed Degorgement Recently Degorged, meaning that degorgement (i.e. the final stage in the production of Franciacorta), following several months of ageing, is purposely delayed to guarantee this wine maximum freshness.
Colour: intense straw yellow with various greenish reminiscences
Nose: intense, fine and articulate with notes of yeast and ripe fruit (apple, pear, peach) with a touch of vanilla
Taste: full, concentrated, with not too invasive bubbles on the palate. Soft and pleasant aftertaste
Acidity: 6.6 g/l
Bitterness: 3.4 g/l
Format: 0.75 l bottle - 1.5 l magnum
