Las Lagrein Trentino Bio

Area of Production: Madruzzo (TN)
Soil: vineyard more than 10 years old, mature and able to express its power, located at 250m asl on glacial limestone-clay soil, with presence of gravel
Harvest: by hand
Vinification: shortly after crushing-destemming, the must undergoes alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in French oak truncated conical vats, then is racked into French oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation that lasts for more than 20 days, giving the wine a ruby red color and soft tannins
Aging: over 12 months in the same small French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation took place just before, the wine is then racked into steel tanks where it remains until bottling. Finally, it concludes its aging with a few months in the bottle, integrating the tannins with the passage of time
Color: deep ruby red color with garnet hues
Nose: heady scent of cherry, blackberry, blueberry, black currant surrounded by hints of violet. Harmonious spicy note and then cocoa, coffee, cloves
Taste: powerful but elegant, round, full-bodied palate that envelops with notes of ripe berries and spices. Ripe and tenacious tannin. Long, round finish
Format: 0.75-liter bottle
