Eleganza Sibona Grappa Reserve Madeira Barrels With 2 Glasses
The raw material in this case is Moscato grape marc, used in Piedmont to produce many fine dessert wines. Distilled in-house at the Sibona plant in Piobesi d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo, this special Grappa Riserva undergoes a long ageing process in wood before meeting the bottle. Following a precise production process devised by Sibona, the distillate first matures for a long period in oak barrels, before being passed into barrels from the island of Madeira. This technique, already used in the world of Whisky, was experimented for the first time by Sibona also on Grappa, obtaining exceptional results in terms of quality. The elegant, fruity aroma and the rich, refined flavour of this distillate closely resemble that of Madeira. To appreciate it at its best, this grappa should be served in refined glasses such as those proposed in the package, at the right temperature, strictly still. To accompany it, some dried fruit or chocolate chips may be proposed.
